Low Carb Diets
The problem with low carb diets or no-carb diets is that they fail to recognize your body needs the right cards to burn fat and feel amazing.

High Protein Diets
Many women decide to eat a high protein diet in an effort to lose weight. Although high protein diet plans can help provide short term weight loss, in the long term it can be harmful to eat too much protein.
Relying on a high protein diet plan for reducing body fat and preserving muscle mass can actually backfire. A higher protein intake than you need actually can lead to weight gain. Other side effects of eating too much protein include bad breath, constipation, diarrhea, dehydration, kidney damage, increased cancer risk, and heart disease.
Eating protein is critical. Every cell in your body contains proteins, which are known as the building blocks of life. Proteins are formed by branched chains of amino acids. Although there are hundreds of amino acids, your body needs 22 of them. Your body can make some, but there are nine essential amino acids your body cannot make.
But you can provide those amino acids by eating protein-rich foods from meat and animal sources. Plant proteins like nuts and legumes are incomplete proteins that do not contain all nine essential amino acids.

To stay healthy, the Institute of Medicine recommends consuming a daily minimum of .8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight.
