Base Bagel Recipe (Universal Ingredients and Air-Frying Process)

  • 1 c whole wheat flour or gluten-free flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 c plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 egg white beaten (to use as egg wash)


  • In a medium bowl combine dry Ingredients well.
  • Add yogurt, mix until well combined.
  • Remove dough from the bowl, knead a few times on floured working surface until dough is tacky (it should not be sticky, if it is, add more flour).
  • Form dough into 4 even-sized balls and roll them into 1-inch thick bands and connect the ends to form bagels.
  • Brush on the egg wash and top with your go-to toppings.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 290 F degrees.
  • Place bagels in the air fryer and bake until golden, typically about 16-18 minutes.
  • Let bagels cool completely before slicing them.
