Choose The Right Ingredients

Healthy banana muffins are best made using Vanilla Cake LadyBoss® LEAN because it provides all the vitamins, nutrients, minerals and protein you need as a woman, without any extra junk.

If you are wondering what makes these healthy muffins different from the rest, there are several factors. The healthy banana muffins you will find here are low in sugar, free of excess fat, delicious and quick to make. They are free of wheat and include only heart-healthy fats. You don’t even need maple syrup for this recipe!

The Secret Is In The Banana

You can make these healthy banana muffins in no time, just make sure you have bananas that are ripe and well-spotted. That is what will determine how sweet your muffins are. The riper the banana, the sweeter the muffin.

It is best to use bananas that are on the brown side, however, as long as your bananas aren’t very ripe and green, this recipe will turn out just fine. Expert Tip: Microwave your bananas for 20-30 seconds to make them easier to mash for our recipe.

Anytime Is The Right Time for Healthy Banana Muffins

These muffins can be enjoyed at any time of year, but you might especially enjoy them in the colder months. Bananas can be very good comfort food, and fresh-baked muffins tend to be a fall and winter favorite.

Storing The Muffins

It’s best to store these muffins in a plastic container in your fridge to keep them fresh. You also can freeze these muffins for longer storage. They freeze well, so you can feel free to double the batch and freeze the extra muffins! I like to store them in a freezer bag, or a large container.

To defrost your healthy banana bread muffins, you can either take them out of the freezer and put them in the fridge the night before you want to eat them, or you can put them in the microwave for about 30 seconds til they are warm and ready to go!

Health Benefits Of Banana Muffins

ripe bananas

These banana muffins are healthy and convenient snacks that pack some important nutrients. Bananas, for example, are well known for their content of the mineral potassium. Natural sources of potassium, like fruits and vegetables, can help to regulate your blood pressure.

The health benefits of potassium include the prevention of strokes, high blood pressure, heart and kidney disorders, and the lowering of anxiety and stress. Potassium helps to enhance muscle strength, improve metabolism, promote water balance and electrolyte functions, and assist in balancing the nervous system.

Potassium is the third most abundant mineral in the human body and is a powerful element in improving overall health. It contains the components for maintaining a high level of well-being and an improved lifestyle. The benefits of potassium can’t be emphasized enough!

More Health Benefits of Banana Muffins

Apart from acting as an electrolyte, potassium is required for keeping the heart, brain, kidney, muscle tissue, and other important organ systems of the human body in good condition. Potassium chloride is the main variety of this mineral, and it works in association with sodium to perform a number of critical tasks within the body.

If you have ever suffered from low potassium, you understand just how critical a role this mineral plays in the human body. You can suffer tremendously if you don’t get enough potassium, but the good news is, it is easily prevented!!!

Did you know bananas have even more to offer?! They are a good source of fiber, vitamin B-6 and vitamin C. Using LadyBoss® LEAN in this recipe also increases the amount of protein, vitamins, and minerals, as well as the fiber and protein.
